Today finished part 7 for the Valify Robot Lawnmower, the left cover of the left front for the robot. The part was printing for 45h and consumed 550grams of filament. This part consumed a bit more filament because it needed support structure to be able to print.
I modified the part from the original (It wanted to consume 750grams of filament). The part needed support structure at the very end of the part. Making the support narrow and very unstable when printing a tall objects like this. So I sliced the part at the top making an extra smaller part. The end result will be more or less the same.
Tonight I started 3D printing his twin brother (right side) that will finish on late night wednesday. After that print, I will have a “chassis” for the robot and I will have something to work with, before mowing on to print the rest of the body. The next phase will include electronic planning/layout, Drive-system and wheels.
Here is the assembly:

I have also continued to design some needed parts for the robot.
A battery box fitting 4x6s lipo batteries. VESC will be mounted on front of the box.

Mounting bracket for The sweep:

A mounting bracket for wheel bearing and drive shaft.

Finished of today by completing the wheel design. A made place for a key hub. This way it will be easier to change wheels. Different drive shafts etc.
