Background: RTK stands for Real-Time Kinematic and is a technology-based carrier-based technology, providing ranges (and thus positions) that are magnitudes more accurate than those available by code-based positioning. The basic concept is to reduce and remove common errors on a base station and rover.
My use of RTK is to increase the precision of a mobile rover and thus get a more accurate positioning wherever it is in the world. The installation went relatively smoothly (just followed their quick-start). I had to re-flash one of the devices because it locked itself without connecting it to my wi-fi.
When both units were running, I tried to get them started (indoors) without any direct positive result. I then connected some batteries and placed them outside the house and then satellite reception began to increase sharply.
to be continued.
